The most significant safety feature of the Rehab is its parallel handrail system — full-length handrails running the entire length of the walking deck on both sides, providing continuous grip support that allows users to hold on with both hands throughout the walking session if needed. Standard treadmills provide only a front handrail console that is ergonomically distant from the walking position; the Rehab’s side handrails bring support within reach of the hands in the natural walking arm position. The speed range of 0.5 to 8 km/h starts at an exceptionally low minimum — 0.5 km/h is approximately the pace of a slow shuffle step — providing the confidence-building starting speed that users recovering from lower limb surgery or stroke require in the early stages of weight-bearing gait rehabilitation. The step-on safety ramp at the rear of the treadmill eliminates the need to step up onto a raised deck, allowing users with limited hip flexion or balance to mount the walking surface safely.
