The Flashopen Virtual Reality Treadmill VR Ready is designed for the intersection of fitness technology and immersive gaming — a treadmill purpose-built to serve as the physical hardware platform for VR fitness applications including Beat Saber, VZfit, Supernatural, and custom VR running games that use treadmill speed data to drive in-game movement. The VR fitness category has grown rapidly as developers and users discover that physical exercise performed within an engaging virtual environment produces higher subjective enjoyment, longer average session duration, and greater session-to-session consistency than the same exercise performed while watching a static screen. Flashopen’s VR Ready platform supports this experience through three hardware integrations absent from standard treadmills: the VR headset mount — an articulated arm attached to the handrail that positions the headset at the correct height and angle for the user’s standing position and allows the headset to be stored securely between sessions without damage; the game controller holder — two padded cradles on the handrail that hold standard VR controllers when the user’s hands need to grip the rails during high-intensity running; and the low-latency speed-sync API — a Bluetooth and Wi-Fi data bridge that sends the treadmill’s real-time speed and incline data to connected VR software at a maximum 50ms latency, providing the synchronization between physical movement and virtual environment that VR comfort requires. A USB-C power delivery port on the console provides 45W charging for the VR headset battery during the session, extending headset battery life beyond its standalone limit.
